The Nordic W3C Chapter is a Nordic community for W3C members and non-member organizations interested in W3C activities. Our role is to support the community with information about W3C working groups and upcoming events around the world. We also provide feedback on regional issues and promote the adoption of W3C recommendations in our territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nordic W3C Chapter is managed by the Swedish Internet Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are an independent foundation and our charter states that we shall ensure a strong and secure infrastructure for the internet in Sweden, as well as enabling people to use the internet in the best way. Therefore, we offer digital education and knowledge that gives a greater understanding of the impact of digitalization on individuals and society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We offer meeting places like Goto 10<\/a> and arrange conferences such as The Internet Days<\/a>. Through our commitment to security issues, personal privacy and an open internet, we want to make the net a safe place where everyone can participate and take advantage of its opportunities. We measure and produce statistics with Bredbandskollen  <\/a>and the survey The Swedes and the Internet<\/a>. We contribute to making the Internet\u2019s infrastructure more stable and secure with services like Zonemaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an organization beneficial to society, we also run identity federations; a secure solution for account and password management. The federations simplify the work on digital processes within health care and schools in Sweden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our method of operation is characterized by openness and responsibility. We have a deep knowledge in all our business areas, and a great commitment to our target groups\u2019 situation and needs. In this way, we contribute to a better and stronger Internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
